A few years ago, I realized I was no longer able to carry on with my daily activities due to sadness, an internal malaise stemming from two major losses I'd suffered years before. I thought I'd managed them, but I was always down and sad, never enthusiastic... even though I apparently had a fulfilling and positive present. A friend had spoken highly of Dr. Schiavon, whom she had also consulted years before. I remember the first meeting well. I was quite skeptical about my ability to express what was inside me and nervous, but I found a calm welcome... professional yet so present that I immediately felt at ease. I realized how much I had to say, how much anger and sadness I needed to let out, but I believe I succeeded only thanks to Dr. Schiavon's patient and encouraging guidance.
